If Brazil win the 2006 World Cup, they will be crowned World Champions for the 6th time. We expect their first match against Croatia to be one of the most watched of the tournament to date.
Did you watch the match? Let us know what you thought and post a comment!

I did.
I have to admit that it was not so good. No as expected from the best team of the world. But who cares ? At least, they won. They will play much better match after match.

If Brazil win its 6th World Cup, will we see the "schumacher syndrome" ?
If Brazilian always win the title, may be people will be bored and will not watch as much as now the following World Cup tournaments. Sport is a meaning of random, uncertain. If you know the winner, there is no interest.
I don't think people will be bored, even though Brazil win the WC. But who knows...
what do you think about this ?

Sorry, I'm very busy and can't spend to much time to read again and make my English faults desappear.
I didn't watch the Brazil vs Croatia match so I can't comment on it, but I was wondering about the possibility that Germany might win the World Cup. They must be really motivated to do so. What do you think their chances are?
They are the challenger #1. They are playing at home. Except Brazil in Sweden in the 50's, any non-european team has won the World Cup played in a European Country. They only lost in final during the last World Cup in Asia.
Many reasons to say that they have many chances to win this WC !
I personally don't see there being a 'Schumacher syndrome' should Brazil win this year. Michael Schumacher's dominance of F1 bored people not only because he always won, but he did so easily and with ruthless efficiency, often leading each Grand Prix from start to finish, with no prospect of being overtaken.
Brazil, however, play with a swagger and a style that everyone loves - whereas Schumacher is the driver who the fans love to hate. I'd also say that, in Ronaldinho, Brazil have arguably the most popular individual player in the tournament.
